Antique oceanfront cottage on the island of Islesboro, in the middle of Penobscot Bay, reachable by state of Maine ferry. You are renting the whole house, which has large downstairs (wtih an office that has a sofabed), and an upstairs with three bedrooms. Faces ocean on two sides. Long porch on north is just steps from a beach. Two full baths (bath upstairs; shower downstairs). Cook your own meals. House is a summer cottage and not insulated, but has recently been equipped with brand new high-output propane heater, and it also has a wood stove. You must clean the house yourself on departure. $150/night from July 1-13. Three night minimum.
