Our sixth year making window inserts for our neighbors and friends quickly approaches its climax.

We need your help again to transform wood, plastic, paint, glue, screws, enthusiasm, and 100s of hours of measurements, into new window inserts.

Since 2012, you have helped us make nearly 2500 inserts for Waldo County residents and businesses. That is truly something we can all step back and celebrate. The benefits accrued to all include money not spent on fuel, warmer homes and offices, more money staying in Maine (versus leaving as fuel purchases), reduced CO2 emissions, increased community and new friends and acquaintances.

On October 19, just a few short weeks away, we begin the final stage of Window Dressers work: assembling and wrapping over 400 inserts for our neighbors in and around Belfast. We’re so grateful for your help in previous years and we hope you’ll be able to join us again!

We have open spots (including some evenings) for

  • assemblingframes
  • wrappingframes with plastic and foam
  • nurturingother volunteers by bringing food
  • supporting volunteers by working in the Boathouse kitchen

Sign up early to get your favorite days and jobs.
