Matures, Boomers, Gen X and Y -- Oh, My! led by Jane Haskell Four generations are now in the workforce. How do we balance working together, volunteering

The Curse of the Bambini led by Dr. Cliff Guthrie As of this writing, the fate of the Red Sox is undetermined. My
ten-year-old son, who, tragically, is already a serious Boston fan, already
understands in his soul the issue of theodicy (God's silence). Talking with him about this reminded
me of an unusual interpretation of the Garden of Eden I once encountered. It also echoes issues about how many
mature people of faith live in the midst of a profound silence from God. Dr.
Guthrie is a professor at Bangor Theological Seminary. |

Birth and Spirituality led by Ellie Daniels There are few occurrences in our lives more transformative and
awesome than the birth of a baby.
In our Western culture in the past 75 years, we have witnessed the
proliferation of the medical-technical approach to birth, which is changing
our spiritual relationship to this life event in profound ways. Where is our spiritual center in
birth? Ellie Daniels -- a
midwife for 23 years -- invites us to explore this essential question with
her. |
