What is Marriage for?
led by our minister, Pam Gross
What Is Marriage For? With the
current struggle for equal rights to marriage for non-heterosexual couples,
the question of what marriage means is one we must consider as citizens.
And, given the faith-based voices engaged in this public debate, it is has
become essential that we consider this issue from our faith perspective.
Inspired by the book, What is Marriage For? by E. J. Graff,

Nurturing the
Spirit of Wonder
led by Jennifer Howard
Drawing on the
inspiring works of Dr. Maria Montessori, our UU Living traditions and from
Jennifer's personal observations of children of our very own Religious
Education program, this service will allow for time to share together and
to nurture our own spirits and to learn how best to nurture the spirits of
our loved ones both young and young at heart.
A Potluck follows this service! Even if you forget to bring something
don't forget to stay.

Water: Our Right,
Our Responsibility
led by the Social Justice Committee
March 6th is
Social Justice Sunday in UU congregations throughout the world. A video
from the UU United Nations Office Seminar in 2003 described how every 8
seconds a child dies from drinking contaminated water, a problem that could
be completely eradicated by investing a sum of money equal to what has been
spent on the war effort in Iraq. This service is for education and
reflection on the vast inequities surrounding access to clean water. What
can we, as a congregation and as individuals, do to make sure that all of
the world's citizens can exercise their right to clean water?
