Cris volunteered with the United Farm Workers (1972-1975), at
the height of its nonviolent struggle for decent labor contracts. She will share
her experiences in nonviolent organizing and encapsulate the movement’s
history, from its origins to the present day.

vials of water from our summer adventures and pour them into a common
vessel, celebrating where we’ve been, what we are, and how we care for

Yom Kippur) and will flow out of his examination of “Jewish Forgiveness” as
part of a course on forgiveness offered through the University of Maine’s

Unconditional Love: Going Beyond Companionship

Lipsky
Last year Deb amazed and inspired our congregation with her
service on looking beyond disability. Her topic this year also draw on
special understanding she has by virtue of being autistic. Deb will discuss
the behavioral communication of animals and many ways in which animals
actively help people heal.
