Feb. 1 The Peacemaker’s Pledge: Becoming a Congregation of

Peacemakers

led by our minister, Pam Gross

 

What would a congregation of peacemakers be like? What would such a

congregation do? (This is the third of a sermon series on peacemaking based

on the “Peacemaking Pledge”.)

 

 

Feb. 8 The Traumatized Spirit

given by the Rev. Kate Braestrup

 

Kate will examine “What doesn’t kill me makes me stronger,” and other misconceptions.

Because she is running in several directions as chaplain of the

Maine Warden Service, a busy author, with Here If You Need Me in paperback

her next book being edited by her publisher, and mom and wife, this will be

Kate’s only service at UU Belfast this year. Come welcome her back.

 

 

Feb. 15 Militarism in America—& the consequences for “non-people”

given by Dud Hendricks

 

Dud recently visited with the Inughuits of Greenland who were displaced

from their ancestral lands to make way for a U.S. Air Force Base. Their

quest for return and restitution continues to this day. He will share his conversations

with some of the victims of displacement.

 

 

Feb. 22 I Am FABALAS!

given by Amy Robbins-Wilson

 

Amy will talk about spiritual lessons her son has taught her in a homily

about joy, enthusiasm, and being fabulous. Author of the forthcoming

book, Transformational Mothering, Amy is a singer, composer, and performer

who has dedicated her work to creating healing spaces.
