March 1 Taking Stock

led by our minister, Pam Gross

How do financial ups and downs impact our spiritual lives—and how do

our spiritual lives impact our financial ups and downs?

March 8 What to Do When You Don’t Know What to Do:

Ethics for Confusing Times

led by Dick Snyder

How does a mature morality handle the tension between holding some

values as absolutes while at the same time recognizing the relativity of

human truth claims?

March 15 If life throws you a lemon, make lemonade. But what do

you do with a cowpie? Lessons from the political highway

led by Jan Anderson

In this service, we will look at how language transforms challenges to

opportunities.

March 22 Justice Sunday

led by the Social Justice Committee

At press time, the SJC was busy finding a replacement for a speaker who

cancelled due to illness. Check your weekly Order of Service and UUBB

announcements for a description of this service.

March 29 Spiritual but Not Religious

led by the Rev. Mark Worth

A lot of people tell Mark Worth, minister to the Unitarian Universalist

Congregation of Castine, that they are “spiritual but not religious.”

What does “spiritual” mean? What does “religious” mean? Mark’s

exploration of these questions leads him to conclude that he, for one, is

both.

April 5 Risk Taking or Faithful Living?

led by Rev. Danielle De Bona

Could it be that when we take risks we are actually demonstrating our

faith? Taking risks can be liberating, especially when we do so “in faith.”

Let us be faithful, and faith-full people who are willing to take risks in

ways that share our liberal faith.
